Excerpt from Fashion Bomb Daily: The Best Gowns At 2012 MET GALA!

Who looked BEST?

This (pic) is an excerpt from Fashion Bomb Daily, via the 2012 Met Institute of Art Costume Gala. Many celebs came out to showcase some of their best look, often seen photographed with the designer of the gown. Now, I've posted four pics above of Paula Patton, Solange Knowles, Rihanna, and Beyonce, and I'm going to grade each of them.

First is Paula; she's every bit sweet and flowery with her personality, smile, and that stunning iridescent pink dress by Vera Wang. She gets an A- for that.

Next is Solange; she's in a class all by herself with her diva-like, Diana Ross hair with her sophisicated yellow dress by Rachel Roy. She gets a B for that.

Rihanna is next; WHAAAAAT HAPPENED BABY??! The dress, by Tom Ford, is cool with it's croc print, but the cut is boring even by Rihanna's standards... and the hair?? She gets a C- for that.

Beyonce? Gown by Ty Hunter. BEY? A.

The Art Of The Sublime In Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been' Music Video And Comparison To Beyonce's 'Run The World (Girls)'

Well, after waiting and waiting, Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been' music video has dropped. It has been anticipated to be somewhat tribal.. and TRIBAL was all up and through this video. I also couldn't help that the ambiance of the dance number resembled Beyonce's 'Run The World (Girls)', but nevertheless, these videos are in their own zone.

Rihanna adds her flavor by emerging from the water in ink-black hair, perfectly aiming for the camera, as if she's an otherworldly, Stargate-inspired girl looking and hunting for her 'love'. The other cultural looks brings about an international vibe, suggesting that the video can be related to every nationality. Beyonce's 'Run The World' is in a class by itself; it's almost as if no other copied version can ever top Beyonce's dance-in-the-sand routine. Rihanna comes pretty close, though.

Forming the EYE.... uhhh... several times that happened in the video. Colors and dance routines were good; I especially could see one of these looks being produced by Vivienne Westwood or any designer with a crazy flair of cultural style.

What's your take on it?

'People' Magazine Declares BEYONCE Most Beautiful Woman In The World for 2012!

BEY-stans and BEY-lovers all over the world, Beyonce has been named 'Most Beautiful Woman In The World' by People Magazine. It is truly an honor to hold that title, oddly more than any other prestigious magazine like VOGUE, ELLE, HARPER's BAZAAR, and more (because PEOPLE is just a celebrity/pop culture magazine compared to a tabloid). Beyonce definitely deserves it, what with her recent birth of Blue Ivy Carter and gaining back her curves.

I'm very sure women everywhere would KILL to grace the cover of this fast-selling, wildly-popular magazine. Congrats, Bey!

Beyonce and Baby Blue Dressing Like Bohemian and Creole Beauties!

Beyonce and baby Blue Ivy was spotted in Brooklyn doing some visiting around, and they both were dressed like Creole beauties, or as I should say, Bohemian (as MTO, rumor site, also says).

Bey rocked some Michael Jackson penny loafers, short denim shorts, paisley-and-print shirt (most likely Versace), and the MJ hat and glasses... HMM... could Bey be channeling MJ, too?

Oh, and note the scarf on Blue's head...

Bey and Jay Love, via BilliDollarBaby

I'm starting to like TUMBLR more and more, because on there, you can just find so much to love, pics of people's interests and personal moments. It's more than just blogging, it's capturing a lifestyle.

Check out Beyonce and Jay-Z in a couple of pictures together in some of their moments. Check out Beyonce's several looks, including the polka dot short set that I'm liking on her. And also check out the consistent and cool swagger of Jay-Z. Ahh, nice moments, reminds me of me and my GF.

Beyonce and Blue Ivy Swathed In FUR; Still Can't See Blue... Dang....

Beyonce, Blue Ivy, and Tina Knowles were spotted stepping out of their loaded MILLION-DOLLAR van (loaded with Direct TV, Wi-Fi, whatever else, maybe even a crib for Blue). Beyonce and Blue Ivy were swathed in fur, and Bey kept the style moving down to her feet, showing off them yellow heels. And Tina... she's such the COUGAR in all-black.

Good looking, fam... just wish I'd see more of Blue.

MaMa BEYONCE Turns Up Heat With New 'PULSE: Summer Edition' Perfume

Seems like Beyonce's got even hotter now that she's a mama... a hott mama at that. She is promoting her fourth fragrance, PULSE: SUMMER EDITION, which is said to have much lighter notes and more fruitier, and has hints of 'Blue Ivy' in it.

Hmm.... gotta smell that one.

Beyonce and Jay-Z in NYC w/ Blue Ivy Carter; Bey in Isabel Marant Sneakers

Nice to see this new family going around town, especially having a child who is already a brand: BLUE IVY. Beyonce and Jay-Z were spotted in NYC in their street clothes looking SWAG-a-licious. Jay had on his usual street great with Air Jordan sneakers (what I like about his look is that it's STREET, but never TOO street).

Bey has these vintage glasses, beanie, leather jeans, and Isabel Marant sneakers (the sneaker with a CONCEALED heel) for $725.

Beyonce On Feb. 2012 Magazine Cover (But Pre- Baby Blue Ivy) + RECENT SPOTTING Of Bey and Jay-Z At Nets Game!

Take a brief lookback at Beyonce's February 2012 magazine cover for DT (above) which was pre- baby Blue Ivy. If this looks familiar to you, then yes, the picture features the same dress and hairstyle Bey had worn for her music video, Best I Never Had.

And below is a RECENT spotting of Beyonce and Jay-Z at a New Jersey Nets game. Jay-Z looked his cool, natural self with a sweater, khaki jeans, and Timberlands. Bey rocked it HOTT in her yellow blazer, black jeans, and embellished gold/black Christian Louboutin platform heels. Nice to see them out and enjoying each other...

First Photo of BLUE IVY CARTER, via HelloBlueIvyCarter @ Tumblr

Wow, that's one beautiful and wealthy baby... congrats to Beyonce and Jay-Z for Blue Ivy Carter (b. Jan. 7, 2012). This baby is already on the way to become a fashion brand because both parents have filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademarks company to preserve the Blue Ivy name, speculating that they may release a line of baby products and Blue Ivy products.

BALLIN' BABY!! See Beyonce's amazing figure just one month after giving birth:

#BeyonceIsBack After Giving Birth To Blue Ivy, Seen In Curve-Flattering Red Dress

Beyonce is back in the spotlight after giving birth to baby Blue Ivy Carter. In the meantime, no more stories about Bey's alleged fake baby bump and all that, just be excited that Bey and Jay are now parents.

Anyways, Beyonce sure rocked her first night out in support of Jay-Z (who sang 'Glory' in honor of Baby Blue). She wore an Alice Temperly dress, Alexander McQueen sequined clutch, and jeweled and embroidered Christian Louboutin stilettos. Look closely at the BOLD BLUE nails below; I know it's to honor her new baby.

(If This Is True) Simon Cowell Offers Beyonce $500M To Be X-FACTOR Head; Poised To Be 1st Black BILLI Music Artist & Model!

Media Takeout often produces confirmed truths by rumors, and a lot of times RUBBISH.

But let's see here... it is REPORTED that Simon Cowell offered Beyonce Giselle Knowles $500 MILLION (5-yr, $100M/yr contract) to become the new head of X-Factor. If this is true and Beyonce accepts, she will become the world's first BLACK BILLIONAIRE MUSIC ARTIST and MODEL, putting her in the ranks of Oprah Winfrey for entertainment.

You can only imagine what could possibly be spent on Blue Ivy Carter by both parents.

So we'll see. In the meantime, check out some of Beyonce's latest and greatest looks, prior and during pregnancy:

I hated this dress when I first saw it.... then it grew on me.

Cool pics, ain't they? Heyyy.... wipe up your drool and close your mouth.

BEYONCE's Last Maternity Outfit Before Giving Birth To Baby Blue!

As many of you worldwide already know, Beyonce has kept her birthing date and whereabouts a HUGE, HUGE secret. From the gestation of her pregnancy to the birthing place, everything was kept under wraps. I wonder why to such extreme lengths as this:

Beyonce reportedly rented an entire maternity ward floor in a New York hospital to a tune of approximately $1 MILLION usd. No cameras and mobile devices of any type were allowed on that floor. WOW, BABY IVY BLUE (or BLUE IVY) was ballin' even before she left the womb.

Anyway, check out Beyonce's last maternity outfit before giving birth. She was seen wearing low heels, fitted jeans, vintage red Chanel purse, a fancy scarf that seemed to include and complement all of the colors of Bey's outfit.

Man, she was sure rockin' it the WHOLE 9 MONTHS!

BEYONCE On Cover of Glamour Paris Magazine (Un-Preggers! So When Was This Taken?)

These new February 2012 GLAMOUR Magazine pictures were obviously taken before Beyonce's pregnancy really picked up speed, because I don't think even PHOTOSHOP can make Beyonce really small. The photographer was Michelangelo de Battista. And nonetheless, Bey looks great.

Beyonce was reportedly spotted with Jay-Z in Brooklyn, around the holidays, and she was reportedly wearing very high heels and was ENORMOUS in pregnancy:

She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman. She looked like she was about to give birth.” - Paparazzi

Bey's still rocking it, fashion and all!  That dress is RIGHT! She's reportedly working on her 5th album RIGHT NOW (while preggers... wow).

THE ONLY JAIDEN Officially Lists The Seven Of The BADDEST and BEAUTIFUL Women Of 2011!

RIHANNA

It's almost YEAR-END, and I cannot let my blog go into 2012 without listing seven of the BADDEST and BEAUTIFUL women in the game. Here are the following seven women to have graced my list due to their independency, hard-working careers, natural beauty, FASHION, media pull, and natural SWAG.

These women come in no particular rank.

Rihanna. Barbadian Beauty. Multiple #1 Billboard songs. Dominating fashion sense. To the fans, she's addictive. To the haters, she's...addictive, too.

Angela Simmons Vanessa Simmons and Angela Simmons attend the Charlotte Ronson Spring 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Stage at Lincoln Center on September 11, 2010 in New YorkCity.

Vanessa and Angela Simmons (counts as one). Beautiful sisters hard-in-paint for PASTRY business. Models-in-making. Both balance each other out; Vanessa is the mundane and 'mysteriously' sexy type while Angela is the no-barred, flashy type.

Jennifer Lopez. Hot mama of TWINS. Sparklin' Emilio Pucci dress and Louboutins (above). Center of attention in American Idol. Hotter in her 40s than most women in their 20s. 'Nuf said.

Beyonce. If you think I should EXPOUND more, *scoff* you must not know 'bout BEY, you must not know 'bout BEY.

Amber Rose. Bounced from A-Lister to A-Lister hopelessly. Landed on her feet with endorsement deals and gaining respectable momentum (contrary to what some may think). Iconic short blonde hair.

Kardashian Sisters (counts as one). 'Kim Kardashian' garners most media attention. Though hated, Kim remains widely relevant. Younger sisters are models-in-making. Khloe is most straight-arrowed. Kourtney is prettiest. ONE BIG BALL of Kardashian Kash, somewhere in $60 MILLION worth range.

...And last but not least... (an unlikely but WELL choice ending up in TWO-WAY tie!)

(TIE)

MADONNA and SADE. This has nothing to do with my piqued interest in older women (well... a little bit) but these two women are still going strong in BUSINESS, BODY, AND BOLDNESS in a music pool of a younger and rapidly-changing generation. Madonna is on a widespread, international 'LIKE' scale; Sade is on a much smaller and concentrated scale and one of those 'mysteriously sexy' women who leave a lot to the imagination.

BEYONCE Spotted Wearing What I Think Is One Of The Best Maternity Outfits Ever!

When is JAYONCE coming?

Beyonce was spotted out leaving a store (above) about a day after she was spotted by a surveillance camera in Vancouver, Canada. She reportedly FLEW over there (*side-eye* I thought pregnant women didn't fly... ANYWAYS...) to shop with just a few people. She was looking REAL BIG.

But in the above photo, Beyonce is noticeably trimmer but belly as big as ever. Beyonce's maternity fashion game is straight-up ILL (meaning Hott)!!! Check the oversized black blouse, leopard leggings, stilettos, and black leather jacket with tan lapels to complement Beyonce's golden locks.

Oh, and that crocodile purse is a PLUS, too.

THE ONLY JAIDEN Off-Color Issue: WHO RUN THE WORLD, Rihanna or Beyonce? (Excerpt from ROLLING STONES)

Read excerpt below from 'Rolling Stones Magazine'. Numbers speak for themselves: Rihanna rules while Beyonce explores laidback '4' career
Disclaimer: THE ONLY JAIDEN focuses on fashion blogging, but once in a while has 'off-topic' issues that are interesting, like this one.

Rihanna and Beyoncé
The Image Gate/Steve Granitz/WireImage

Beyoncé and Rihanna have both been recording relentlessly since they were teenagers – and have both become major worldwide pop stars on the strength of a steady flow of hits rooted in R&B and funk. Based simply on their seeming omnipresence, it would seem that both singers have had a very good 2011, but upon closer inspection, it’s clear that the two stars are at very different places in their career: While relative newcomer Rihanna, 23, is still in the process of establishing herself as a superstar with an onslaught of singles in a bid for total radio domination, record industry veteran Beyoncé, 30, is using the clout she has accumulated over the past decade to pursue a more personal vision with her most recent material.
The result? Rihanna has appeared on eight hit singles in 2011 alone, and her most recent smash, "We Found Love," has been at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Beyoncé's 4 has been considered a commerical flop despite having sold just shy of one million copies in the United States since late June.
4 , Beyoncé's first record since dropping her father Mathew Knowles as her manager, has connected with the R&B star’s hardcore audience, but has not spawned a monster hit on the scale of, say, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," "Halo," "Irreplaceable" or "Crazy in Love." Her last major release, I Am...Sasha Fierce, is nearly triple platinum three years after its release in 2008; the album before that, 2006's B'Day, is certified triple platinum. To some extent, the commercial performance of 4 was diminished by the early, lukewarm response to the disc’s first single, "Run the World (Girls)," an aggressive tune that sampled Major Lazer’s club hit "Pon de Floor" and leaked in an unfinished form prior to its official release.
"Sometimes when songs aren't obvious hits it takes a video, a live performance, or something extra to help it connect to the audience," says Julie Pilat, Assistant Program Director and Music Director for KIIS FM and Program Director of 98.7FM. "Radio immediately supported Beyoncé, but there were really polarizing opinions from the listeners on the single. Her video, appearances and performances didn't kick in until it was too late and the song was over. 'The Best Thing I Never Had' was probably the most obvious single on the album, but it was a ballad and got released in the middle of summer."
The modest success of 4’s singles at radio may be a sign of the times, as the sound of pop has shifted drastically in favor of techno-oriented dance music over sounds rooted in hip-hop and R&B in recent years, a development that has dovetailed with Rihanna's gradual immersion in full-on club music. Though she began her career with roots in dancehall and R&B on songs like "Pon de Replay" and "Unfaithful," she has moved towards full-on house music with hits like "Don't Stop the Music" and "Only Girl (in the World)." Her biggest hits over the past year – "S&M," "Who’s That Chick" with techno producer David Guetta, "We Found Love" with Scottish dance producer Calvin Harris – have wholeheartedly embraced radio's current craze for dance music, which has been helped along by chart-toppers such as Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry. (The mainstream embrace of dance music also has contributed to the genre's thriving on the touring circuit, with festival-packing artists such as Deadmau5, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia.) Much to her credit as an artist, Beyoncé has stayed true to her roots in classic R&B and is playing to her strengths, but at least in this moment, she’s out of step with prevailing trends in pop.
Rihanna’s incredible success at pop radio, outstanding digital track sales and overwhelming popularity on YouTube isn’t simply a matter of having her finger on the pulse of popular culture. It's partly the result of unflagging momentum – there has been hardly any time since Rihanna broke big with "Umbrella" in 2007 when she has not had a hit on the radio, either as a solo act or featured artist. "Kids want new material all the time," Jay Brown, Rihanna's manager since she was a teenager, recently told the BBC. "I think you become disposable when you put out an album every three years." This philosophy goes against the grain of years of conventional wisdom cautioning artists against flooding the market with singles, but the results are undeniable: Even when Rihanna drops a single that doesn't quite connect with a larger audience, such as "Russian Roulette" or "Man Down," there has always been a monster hit like "We Found Love" just around the corner, so she always seems like a hot commodity.
